Nassau Man Burglarized Multiple Businesses On His Own Block: NCPD

Police say the businesses were all close together. One was even under the apartment in which the man lived.

A Garden City South man was arrested on Thursday after police say they determined he was responsible for a string of burglaries of businesses on his own block.

According to police, the Burglary Pattern Team conducted an investigation and found that Todd Klein, 49, of 10 Nassau Blvd., was responsible for multiple burglaries of businesses where merchandise and cash were removed.

Police say he robbed the following businesses:

  • July 26: Xin Xing Chinese Takeout, 30 Nassau Blvd.
  • July 31: Nassau Nails, 10 Nassau Blvd.
  • Aug. 10: Anthony's Lucky Duck Restaurant, 9 Nassau Blvd.
  • Aug. 15: Nassau Nails, 10 Nassau Blvd.

Police say Klein was located in West Hempstead on Aug. 16 ant 10:30 p.m. and arrested without incident. He is charged with four counts of third-degree burglary. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday in First District Court in Hempstead.
