Nassau Police ID Man Found Dead On Street

Police believe the man was murdered and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Nassau police have identified a man who was found dead on a street in Hempstead on June 9.

Police say that the Hempstead Police Department received a call at 6:50 a.m. on June 9 fro a man lying on the ground on Thorne Avenue. When they arrived, police found the man was dead.

The man has been identified as Mario Aguilar Hernandez, 41, of Hempstead. Police believe his death to be suspicious. The investigation is ongoing.
