Nassau Police Identify Man Murdered In Shooting
Police are still seeking the public's help to find the person responsible for killing one man and injuring another in the shooting.

Nassau Police have identified the man who was murdered in Hempstead Friday morning.
Demetrius Winfield, 30, of Hempstead, was gunned down on Wellesley Street at 11 a.m. Another man, whom police have not identified, was also shot, but survived. Winfield was rushed to a hospital where he died of his woulds at 11:28 a.m.
The investigation into the shooting is ongoing. Police ask anyone with information about the incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS, or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could earn a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
