Nassau Police Arrest Two For October Murder
Police say they arrested two men who shot at two others, killing one and wounding the other.

Nassau County police arrested two men on Tuesday and charged them with a shooting in October that left one man dead and one injured.
Jamik Q. Cannon, 26, of Linden Place, Hempstead, and Brian Marquis Marshall Gibson, 23, of Kingston Avenue, South Floral Park, were arrested in connection with the shooting.
According to police, Demetrius Winfield, 30, of Hempstead, was gunned down on Wellesley Street on Oct. 19. Another man, whom police have not identified, was also shot, but survived. Winfield was rushed to a hospital where he died of his woulds less than a half hour after the shooting.

Both Cannon and Gibson were charged with second-degree murder and second-degree attempted murder. They are scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead.
