Nassau Police Searching For Barefoot Man Who Botched Robbery

The man tried to rob a 7-Eleven, but fled before he got any money.

Nassau police are searching for a barefoot man who botched a robbery attempt in Uniondale in July.

According to police, on July 18 at 3:16 a.m., the robber approached the 30-year-old cashier at the 7-Eleven at 276 Uniondale Ave., displayed a black handgun and demanded cash. The cashier, who was frightened, did not move. After a moment, the robber, who wasn't wearing shoes, fled on foot west on Front Street.

The robber was a black man, 20 to 30 years old, wearing all black clothes and black socks. No one was injured.
