Nassau Police Searching For Hit-And-Run Driver
Police say the driver caused an accident that injured another person, and then fled the scene.

Nassau Police are looking for a person who fled the scene of a car crash that injured the other driver.
According to police, on at 9:05 a.m. on Aug. 5, a 20-year-old woman was driving her 2017 Toyota Corolla east on Hempstead Turnpike in Hempstead when she was hit by a light grey Honda Accord heading south on Fulton Avenue. The Accord fled the scene.
Police say the Accord, pictured above, is possibly a 2006 model and had yellow New York State license plates.

The female driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Police ask anyone with information about this incident to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
