Nassau Teen Threatened His School With Bomb: Police
Police say he threatened the school with a bomb, and said he had an assault rifle at home.

A teenager from Hempstead was arrested on Wednesday after police say he made threats to his school.
According to police, Khalil Young, 17, of Elm Avenue, said he was going to threaten the Academy Charter School in Hempstead with a bomb, and that he had an assault rifle and several rounds of ammunition.
Police responded to his house and searched, but found nothing. Young surrendered himself to police at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and was placed under arrest without incident.

Young is charged with making a terroristic threat. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Thursday in First District Court in Hempstead.
