New Hyde Park Road Delays This Weekend
Work on the railroad crossing is going to cause delays on the village streets.
The Village of Garden City has been informed that the Long Island Rail Road is going to be doing work on a track crossing in the village this weekend, which will cause traffic delays in the area.
On Saturday, the LIRR will be replacing a signal stanchion gate at the New Hyde Park Road crossing. The MTA Police will be on the scene for safety, but only one lane will be open at the crossing. That means only one direction of traffic will be allowed at a time.
If they can, motorists should avoid the area on Saturday. Otherwise, expect some delays.
