Nicholas Sarkis Wins FULVI Love of Language Award
This is the second consecutive year that an eighth grade French student has won this prestigious award.

Eighth grade world language students are eligible for The New York State Association of Foreign Language Teachers (NYSAFLT) FULVI Love of Language Award.
Students must be recommended by their foreign language teacher and require a second teacher letter of recommendation.
The FULVI Love of Language Award, a $50 U.S. savings bond and a certificate, is given to eighth grade students from each of the regions of New York State who demonstrate a special interest and excitement in their study of foreign language.

This year's winner is Nicholas Sarkis, who was recommended for the award by his French teacher, David Strauzer.
"Nicholas’s strong enthusiasm for the study of French and Latin and his outstanding academic achievement earned him this prestigious honor," said Mr. Strauzer. "Félicitations, Nicholas!”
