Police ID Man Found Stabbed To Death In Front of Laundromat

Police say the man was stabbed in a nearby park, then walked to the laundromat, where he collapsed outside.

Nassau police have identified the man that was found stabbed to death outside of a Hempstead laundromat early Friday morning.

Police say that Juan Gabriel Chic Sian, 35, with no known address, was found outside of Laundry Palace, located at 416 Clinton St., at 12:07 a.m. Friday. Sian was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died at 1:07 a.m.

According to Newsday, police said the man was involved in an altercation at a park across the street from the laundromat, where he was stabbed in the torso. He then walked to the nearby parking lot, where he collapsed. He was found by workers at the laundromat.

Police did not say if the stabbing was gang related.

Nassau police are asking anyone that has any information about this stabbing to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
