A Reunion With Mark Twain

A free performance by Rob Alvey is scheduled at the Garden City Senior Center on Friday Oct 25 starting at 3PM. Rob will appear in "A Reunion With Mark Twain" as an entertaining and humorous impersonation of America's favorite humorist and author, Mark Twain. Stay after the performance for photos with Twain!

The GC Senior Center is at 6 Golf Club Lane in Garden City. The performance is a special gift for the Village as part of the activities associated with the Garden City High School Class of 1969's 50th anniversary celebrations.

Alvey has a well established reputation providing Mark Twain appearances for fund raisers throughout the country. He has appeared on Broadway, performed at the historic Friar's Club, on a Paddlewheel Riverboat on the Mississippi, and was featured performer at the Hear/Now Festival in Kansas City last June. He will also be featured in an "Interview with Twain and Tesla" at the AES Convention in Manhattan Oct 16.

Alvey is no stranger to Garden City or volunteering, and was one of the founding members of the Garden City Environmental Advisory Board as well as spending nearly 20 years as founder and President of the Garden City Bird Sanctuary. He was also a Finalist in the 2017 Senior American Idol competition.
