Robber Snatches $20 From Man's Hand After Being Chased From Store
Police say he tried to rob a store with a knife, but the owner chased him away.

A man made a quick buck by robbing a person on the street after getting chased out of the store he was trying to rob, police said.
At 10:21 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2, police say the man pictured above entered BK Sports Land, at 89 Main St. in Hempstead. He pulled out a large kitchen knife, held it up at the owner and demanded money. Instead, the owner came out from behind the counter and chased the would-be robber out of his store.
As the robber fled, police say he saw a person on the sidewalk with cash in their hand. The robber grabbed $20 from the person and fled. No one was injured.
