Watch British Students Try to Pronounce Some Long Island Town Names

A Long Island college student studying abroad asked his British friends to pronounce LI town names with hilarious results.

After seeing the tensions that were created by the election here in America, Long Island resident Justin Portente decided that people needed a little levity.

Portente, a Holbrook resident, is currently studying abroad in London. So he wrote down a few Long Island town names and asked his English friends to try to pronounce them. The results are pretty much what you'd expect. It's hard to correctly pronounce Ronkonkoma or Hauppauge if you're not from around here (and sometimes even if you are).

It's similar to a video from a few weeks ago where Southern students tried to pronounce Long Island town names.
