American Legion Held Annual Holiday Fundraiser
Annual fundraiser is full of fun music and great food, but everyone comes to support the needy for the holidays.
The Glen Head American Legion Post 336 held their annual Pre-Holiday Cocktail Party on October 14. While all of the attendees enjoyed great dancing, music, food and drinks, the purpose of the event is to raise money for Post 336’s Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday food basket drive.
Each year, the monies collected are used to buy food and other supplies to assemble food baskets for families in need in the North Shore community. “What a wonderful event for such an important cause,” Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton said. “The local restaurants that donate food, The Blue Collar Band that performs and all of the people who organize the party and make donations for food baskets make this such a terrific event!”
