Ben’s Deli Welcomes Contest Winners

Ben’s Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers in Greenvale recently hosted James and Lorraine Maniscalco, the grand prize winners of the eatery’s 40th Anniversary contest. The Queens couple recently returned from South Dakota – the 40th state in the United States, which was chosen in honor of the restaurant’s 40th anniversary, which it celebrated in 2012.

The Maniscalcos received a certificate from Ben’s, congratulating them for winning the contest, and enjoyed dinner on the house. The couple shared their photographs and stories from their trip and presented Ben’s Restaurant Group owner Ronnie Dragoon with a thank-you card. 

The Maniscalcos were the grand prize winners, having entered the “Why I Love Ben’s” Facebook essay contest. Other contests included the Ben’s Facebook photo contest and T-shirt design contest.

The contest, Lorraine Maniscalco said, provided the couple with the chance to visit a destination they might not have otherwise experienced.
