BMW Crashes Into Building, Catches Fire In Greenvale
The driver, who died in the crash, was identified as an East Hills resident by police.
GLEN COVE, NY — The driver of a 2018 BMW is dead after the car crashed into a building and caught fire. Nassau County's Sixth Squad is investigating the fatal accident, which happened at 6:27 p.m. Saturday in Greenvale.
According to detectives, officers responded to a radio assignment of a vehicle into a building at 1 Bryant Ave. They discovered the 2018 BMW engulfed in flames. Glenwood Fire Department responded to the scene to extinguish the fire.
The driver, Andrew Daniels, 49, of East Hills, was pronounced deceased at the scene by a Nassau County Medic. No other injuries were reported. The incident is still under investigation.
