A Bountiful Thanksgiving
Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club Celebrated Thanksgiving with the Community

On Tuesday, November 20, Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club hosted their Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the Glen Cove community in celebration of the bountiful Holiday. The Club, Elegant Affairs Caterers, and 60 volunteers served dinner for almost 500 guests.
Elegant Affairs Caterers donated all the trimmings and cooked the 35 turkeys generously donated to the Club for the event. “Elegant Affairs believes strongly in giving back to the community. We are so impressed with the work that Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club does for the children of Glen Cove that it is our pleasure to support the Club for the past 18 years,” said Andrea Correale, President of Elegant Affairs.
“Our Thanksgiving Dinner is a collaborative effort bringing together members and their families, volunteers and the Glen Cove community to share in a feast and enjoy the festivities of this thankful season. This dinner truly represents the wonderful sense of family our community has and their commitment to the Club and our kids,” said GCBGC Executive Director, Franca Trunzo. Desirae K. O’Neill GCBGC Associate Director who organized the affair, gave the blessing while volunteers and board members served the turkey and traditional accompaniments including stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and macaroni and cheese. As always, the Sundae station and cookies were a favorite for kids and adults alike. Returning for the second year, was the Farmer’s Market made possible by Cactus Café Tex-Mex, providing bushels of fresh produce for guests to take home as a token gift from the Club.
