Boy Scout Troop 6 Shows Off Survival Skills at Camporee
Two patrols from Troop 6 in Glen Cove placed at the top in competitions at the Shelter Rock Camporee in Wading River.

Scouts from Glen Cove Troop 6 recently joined troops from around Nassau County at the Shelter Rock Fall Camporee. Two patrols from the troop placed highly in the survivor-based skills competitions. The competitions included fire building, axe throwing, archery and more. The Nuclear Penguin Patrol were defeated in the final round of the 4-way tug-of- war, while the Fierce Huskie Patrol finished the Slingshot Shooting Challenge in first place. A patrol is a group of 8-10 scouts.
