Swim Across America – Long Island Sound Open Water Swim- today @ Pryibil Beach in Glen Cove was a huge success.  Special thank to SAA’s Kevin Shine for his leadership in the event, along with Kristen Foster from our Youth Services & Recreation Department for organizing!  Shoutout to all our Glen Cove agencies for helping make sure the event went smoothly, our lifeguards, DPW, Glen Cove Police Dept. Glen Cove Harbor Patrol, Glen Cove Vol. Fire Dept., Glen Cove Police Auxiliary. and Glen Cove EMS.

Established in 1992, SAA – Long Island Sound has raised millions of dollars for beneficiaries: Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital of New York-Presbyterian and Cancer Support Team. 

As of 10:00 a.m. this morning, the LI Sound Open Water swim has raised $1,057, 233.

Congratulations to all the teams and swimmers who participated in such an amazing cause!
