Connolly Students Selected for All-County Music Festival

Seven students from Connolly School in Glen Cove have been selected to perform at the Nassau Music Educators Association (NMEA) Division I All-County Music Festival on Jan. 11, 2015 at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Greenvale.

Josiah Aschawel will represent the school’s band on trumpet, while violinist Amadea Cipriano has been selected to represent the school’s orchestra. In addition, students Maria Alverado, Graciana Bache, Christine Cleremont, Alexis Martone and Peter Reyes will perform as part of the All-County Chorus.

Students were selected to perform at the NMEA All-County Festival based on last year’s New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) scores and teacher recommendations. In all, 47 students from the Glen Cove School District were selected to perform.
