Cops: Glen Cove Man Busted for Guns and Drugs
The arrest was made after police learned of illicit drug sales at the defendant's home, police said.

A Glen Cove man, caught with guns and drugs during a search warrant, was arrested last week, authorities said Monday.
Glen Cove police say they arrested Josue Escobar, 22, on Thursday, Nov. 6, while he was leaving his Ravine Avenue residence. Detectives recovered a loaded .45 caliber pistol, 48 grams of cocaine, 73 grams of MDMA, digital scales, and materials used to package drugs. Detectives also recovered over $42,000 in cash.

”The newly re-manned crime-prevention unit consisting of Detective Brain Glennon and Officer Eddy Linares targeted the residence after getting information that illicit drug sales were taking place out of the residence there,” Glen Cove Police Det. Lt. John Nagle said, in a news release.
Escobar was charged with three counts of third-degree sale of a controlled substance, one count of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and four counts of third-degree possession of a controlled substance. He was also charged with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, police say.

Escobar currently lives with his parents, his wife, and their 15-month-old son, according to police.
Escobar was arraigned in First District Court on Nov. 7.
