Downtown Halloween Parade a Haunting Success

Glen Cove's Downtown Halloween Parade was a beautiful day with activities and contests for spooky fun!

Glen Cove, NY- The beautiful Halloween weather encouraged all sorts of creatures to come out and play, as the Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District’s annual Halloween Parade turned School and Glen Streets into a trick-or-treat magnet.

The day started with the Regency Assisted Living’s thrilling Spooky Story Hour; marchers lined up just before 1PM to parade through the downtown streets, then visited welcoming merchants for trick-or-treat goodies.

The Fun Bus mobile gym kept kids sliding, climbing and running for multiple trips through its interior, while DJ Mitch provided music to scare by! Congratulations to Costume Contest winners “Top Gun F-14 Pilots: ‘Goose’” Christian Martin and ‘Maverick’ Luca Martin, “Bob the Builder” Carmine Montesano, “Scarecrow” Taha Waly, “Merida” Sophia Kurre, the “Tooth Fairy”, and “Alice in Wonderland” Aurora (Rory) Seery. We would like to thank our judges, Yolanda Ferguson of AvalonBay Communities, and Chamber of Commerce President Mary Stanco, for their services.

Eight pies were demolished by our hungry Pie-Eating Contestants, with Taha Waly the first to finish a pie in sixty seconds, no hands allowed!

The Glen Cove Downtown BID would like to thank the members of the Glen Cove DECA Club for their assistance, and our sponsors: Garvies Point, Rest Easy Pest Control, ClayNation, Gill Associates Photography, Glen Cove Cinemas, and Starbucks, as well as all of our participating merchants.
