Annual 4th of July Children’s Bicycle Parade

Mayor Ralph V. Suozzi invites all Glen Cove residents to attend the City’s annual Fourth of July Celebration. Independence Day festivities will begin in the morning on Wednesday, July 4, with the annual Children’s Bicycle Parade hosted by the Glen Cove Youth Bureau.

At 10 a.m. children and their families are invited to line up at the Finley Middle School horseshoe with their bikes, scooters, trikes and battery-powered “vehicles.” Everyone is encouraged to decorate their wheels using a patriotic theme. A parent or guardian must accompany their children; helmets and protective gear are mandatory.

The bike parade will travel down Forest Avenue to School Street to Village Square where children will join Mayor Suozzi for an Independence Day celebration to include music, a sing-a-long of patriotic songs and refreshments. Rain date is July 7th.
