Five Ways to Ring in the New Year in Glen Cove

2011 is just around the corner, and it's time to say goodbye to 2010 with a bang. So instead of sitting around in your pajamas and watching the ball drop from your couch, ring in the New Year at one of Friday's New Year's Eve celebrations in Glen Cove.

1. – 4 School Street

The Downtown Cafe is throwing a New Year's Eve Bash with an open bar from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., a dinner buffet, champagne toast. DJ Richie Rich will be spinning all night. Tickets are $50 through Dec. 30 and $60 the day of the event. Seating is limited. Call 516-759-2233 for information.

2. – 51 Cedar Swamp Road

La Pace will celebrate the New Year with an open bar, dancing, champagne toast and dinner at La Pace's New Year's Eve Gala Dinner. Ala Carte Menu starts at 5 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. The Gala dinner is from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. A continental breakfast is available at 1:30 a.m. Tickets are $125 per person.

3. – 90 School Street

Dine and dance the night away at Page One Restaurant. Complimentary H'orderves and champagne will be served to start the night off followed by a four course dinner featuring a choice of two soups and salads, seven entrees, dessert and beverages. Music is provided by DJ Cisco. The dance floor will be open all night. Dinner starts at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person.

4. – 200 Dosoris Lane

The Pub of Glen Cove Mansion will serve drinks and dinner on New Year's Eve to all guests from 2 a.m. on New Year's Eve to 2 a.m. on New Year's Day. A live Jazz band will be performing. Dinner will be served until 11 p.m. on New Year's Eve.

5. – 100 School Street

The Still Life will be kicking off the New Year from 9 p.m. until 1 a.m. with live music.

Bonus: Bistro M – 70 Glen Head Road

Located in nearby Glen Head, Bistro M will serve a special New Year's Eve dinner. Choose one of four appetizers, a mid course, a choice of main courses, and dessert. Reservations are required.  Tickets are $86 per person.
