Glen Cove Boys and Girls Club Holds Hispanic Heritage Dinner
Several local restaurants donated delicious meals for event.
Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club hosted their first Hispanic Pot Luck Dinner on October 7 to commemorate Hispanic Heritage month and to celebrate the many different cultures that comprise the Club’s membership and Glen Cove community.
Eight local restaurants including El Tazumal, Dominik’s Pizza, Pollo Compero, Vallarta Deli, Glen Cove Deli, Quisqueya Deli, Junior’s Deli, and Leo’s Deli for supported the event by donating delicious dishes for event. Parents of Club members also supplemented the dinner with a variety of ethnic fare while members from the Dance Program provided entertainment by performing to Bachata, a style of music originating from the Dominican Republic.
