Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club Celebrates with the Community
On Tuesday, November 21, Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club hosted a traditional Thanksgiving feast for the Glen Cove community.

Members of the Board, Elegant Affairs Caterers, along with 103 volunteers, students and staff members, served dinner to 380 guests.
Elegant Affairs Caterers donated and prepared all the side dishes and trimmings for the dinner and cooked the 32 turkeys contributed by members of the Club’s board of directors. "It has been our pleasure to support Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club for the past 17 years" said Andrea Correale, President of Elegant Affairs. “Elegant Affairs has a long standing history of giving back to the community and we are thankful to the Club and the services they provide for children and families all year long.”
"Our Annual Thanksgiving dinner is the best night of the year for the Club. It is such a wonderful opportunity for our members, their families and the community to come together in celebration of the holiday season. We are truly grateful for the relationship we have with Elegant Affair Caterers and those who continue to contribute each year to our basket drive” said GCBGC Executive Director, Franca Trunzo. Jack McDougal, board member and Retired Sargent of the Glen Cove Police Department, gave the blessing while volunteers helped serve. In addition to the turkey, the customary thanksgiving fare included stuffing, corn, mashed potatoes and gravy, and macaroni and cheese. After dinner, guests participated in raffle giveaways and helped themselves to a variety of fresh produce at the farmers market stand arranged by Club staff. The sundae bar was a hit and had guests lining up to complete the evening.
