Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club Challenges GC Police Department

GCBGC Alumni challenged members of the Glen Cove Police Department to a friendly basketball game on Wednesday, January 24th.

More than 40 participants came together to play a game of basketball in the Club’s gymnasium. Club Youth and Glen Cove’s Law Enforcement played an exciting game, had a lot of fun and had the opportunity to interact on a personal level. The Club is grateful to Board Member and Glen Cove Police Officer Darren Pittman as well as several enthusiastic Police Officers for their involvement in the sport. “It was an entertaining and creative way for us to bond with the kids from our community. It’s definitely an event we can all look forward to again” said Officer Darren Pittman. Alumni, Dahkeem Williams and Keith Taylor were also instrumental in making the event a success. “It was great for us to have the chance to connect with the officers through the wonderful game of basketball,” said Dahkeem.

The final score was 53-50 with the Police Department taking the game with a 3 point lead.
