Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club Joseph C Dey Jr. Golf Tournament
Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club hosted their Annual Joseph C. Dey Jr., Golf Tournament at Meadow Brook Club in Jericho, NY on Monday, May 7.
The event, chaired by GCBGC Board member Hugh R. O’Kane, is one of the organizations premiere fundraising events.
“We are grateful to the many sponsors and supporters of our Outing, many of whom travelled from all over the Tri State area to not only play golf on the beautiful grounds of Meadow Brook Club but to also help raise funds for Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club,” said Mr. O’Kane.
The weather turned out to be a perfect spring day for the 18-hole tournament comprised of 29 teams. There were many champions at the event including 1st Low Gross Team winners Rob Kellan, Matt Clinton, Taymore Zarghami and Baldwin Smith. The 2nd Low Gross Team winners were Nick Berens, Pat Moran, Henry Woodhouse and Jack Foley. The 1st Low Callaway Team consisted of John Siracusa, Joseph Diurmo, Charlie McGrath and Sal Rinaldi. The 2nd Low Callaway Team included Matt Moran, Paul Vanvalkenburg, Bryan Stone and Craig Brooks. The Ladies Long Drive winner was Aila Main and the Men’s Long Drive winner was Harris Firestone.
