Junior Youth of the Month, Alejandra, is a seven-year-old second grader who loves math and aspires of becoming a police officer one day. She enjoys reading and has many favorite books, though none stand out in particular. Alejandra is also passionate about art, especially painting, and values the experiences she has in the Art room. She is a relatively new member having joined the Club in September and loves spending time playing with friends in the gym, exploring the computer room, and tackling challenges in Roblox. She credits the Club staff for helping her improve her English. Quiet, sweet, and thoughtful, Alejandra always listens attentively and offers positive words to her peers and consistently shows kindness to herself and everyone around her.

Senior Youth of the Month, Ernesto, is ten years old and in the fifth grade. Like Alejandra, Ernesto has a strong affinity for math. He envisions his future as an astronaut, soaring through the skies aboard a spaceship to explore the world from above. He loves playing soccer and his favorite book is the Dog Man series by bestselling author and artist Dav Pilkey. He too is a newcomer to the Club, having initially joined at the beginning of the school year to help him adjust to his move to Glen Cove. He has since come to love both his new hometown and the Club, where he has made many friends. “I like all the activities, playing in the Games room, and participating in the various learning games,” said Ernesto. When he's not at school or the Club, Ernesto looks forward to playing with his brother or enjoying his Nintendo games.
