A young Glen Cove resident, Colton Valeo, arrived with his family to meet with the City Council and explained why this event is important to him. The boy, dressed in a bow tie with yellow-spiked hair, told the mayor he “didn’t want children to die.”

The young boy will join many residents in shaving his hair to help children with cancer.
