Glen Cove Cares Gala Beats the Odds
The organization, which provides support for patients and loved ones dealing with cancer, holds a Casino themed fundraising gala each year
Glen Cove Cares is a non-profit organization that provides education and other services and support for patients, survivors and family members who are dealing with cancer.
Early each year, the organization holds an annual fundraising gala. The double entendre of “Beating the Odds” is very fitting theme for this gala that holds a Monte Carlo event, proceeds from which further their cause of increasing awareness of and support for cancer patients, survivors and those who love them.
As usual, the 20th Annual Gala Dinner Dance, held on January 24 at The Metropolitan in Glen Cove, didn’t disappoint. The festive evening featured games of chance, raffles, prizes, live entertainment, cocktails, dinner and dancing. Proceeds are used to help raise awareness and funds for an important cause that has affected us all.

“Thankfully, through the amazing devotion of volunteers with Glen Cove Cares and medical advancements, so many more people are beating the odds and surviving cancer,” Nassau County Legislator Delia DeRiggi-Whitton said. “I am very proud to support this organization, its cause and everyone who gives of themselves to help.”
