Glen Cove Cheerleaders Place Second in LI-Wide Competition

The Glen Cove Varsity Cheerleaders went head-to-head with teams across Long Island at the Smithtown West Competition and grabbed the second place trophy on Jan. 31.

The team achieved their goals by showing dedication, perseverance and strength, according to coach Jessica Thompson. She said the girls made their performance look easy.

The team will next compete in the Cheer Extreme Nationals by the Sea in Virginia Beach this March.
