Glen Cove, NY- The Glen Cove Downtown Business Improvement District’s Capital Improvements Committee has been meeting to plan new ways to brighten the look of Downtown.

Works under discussion include a new wayfinding signage for parking garages, plan, public artwork, and improved irrigation systems for new plantings at the Brewster Street parking garage; artists from the First City Project and students from the Glen Cove Youth Bureau will assist in their creation.

In addition, the Downtown BID has created an identification system and mapped all the light poles in the BID’s area. This will facilitate maintenance and repair, and also aid planning for additional banner and flower basket hardware or other décor.
