Glen Cove Issues Water Conservation Alert

The water restrictions will be monitored by Code Enforcement and Water Department teams.

Glen Cove has issued a water conservation alert to maintain the City’s water supply during the recent heat wave, Glen Cove Mayor Reggie Spinello announced Wednesday.

Temperatures are expected to consistently stay above 90 degrees.

All outdoor watering activities are limited to the hours of 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to midnight on specific watering days.

Residents with an even-numbered street address can water on even days and those with an odd-numbered street address can water on odd days.

Residents who do not have a street address number can water on even days.

Outdoor watering activities are not permitted on the 31st of any month.

Glen Cove’s Code Enforcement and Water Department teams will be monitoring neighborhoods to make sure residents are following these current water restrictions.
