Glen Cove Lacrosse Star Named Academic All-American
Brandon Leon excels on and off the lacrosse field.

A lacrosse star who recently graduated from Glen Cove High School has been named to US Lacrosse’s Academic All-American team.
Brandon Leon, a four-year starter and captain at Glen Cove, was selected as an All-County defenseman during the 2016 season for his work on the field. Known as a ferocious takeaway player, Brandon led the school's boys Big Red Lacrosse team in takeaways and groundballs in the last two seasons. This past year, he also scored seven goals and two assists, which ranked him among the top-scoring longsticks in Nassau County.
In addition, Brandon's status as an Academic All-American recognizes his fine academic accomplishments.

US Lacrosse, the national governing body of both boys and girls lacrosse, recognizes the top nine student-athletes in Nassau County for the Academic All-American Award. Brandon will be attending Molloy College in the fall to continue both his academic and athletic careers.
