Glen Cove’s Average Credit Score Needs Some Work

According to a WalletHub analysis, Glen Cove is in the 69 percentile nationwide of the 2,534 communities surveyed.

The City has an average credit score of 693.37.

The Villages, FL, ranked as No. 1 in the United States with an average 778.77 credit score. Pittsford in Monroe County has the highest credit score average in New York with a No. 9 ranking of 748.35.

The Long Island towns of Syosset and Plainview are nationally ranked No. 23 and No. 24, respectfully.

In order to identify the cities with the highest and lowest credit scores, WalletHub’s analysts compared the average credit scores of residents in each of 2,534 U.S. “cities” as of October 2016, based on TransUnion data. A rank of “1” corresponds with the ”city” with the highest credit score. Note that “city” refers to city proper and excludes surrounding metro areas.

  7. Melville— 730.91 (96 percentile)
  8. Commack— 729.38 (96 percentile)
  9. Dix Hills— 728.69 (96 percentile)
  10. Wantagh— 727.55 (95 percentile)
  11. Merrick— 727.24 (95 percentile)
  12. East Northport— 727.21 (95 percentile)
  13. Floral Park— 726.93 (94 percentile)
  14. Port Washington— 725.3 (94 percentile)
  15. Seaford— 724.58 (94 percentile)
