Glen Cove Senior Awards Bring In $95K In Scholarships

More than 100 students received scholarships.

Glen Cove High School celebrated the stellar accomplishments of the Class of 2017 during its Senior Awards ceremony on May 31.

The evening began with Principal Antonio Santana greeting students and their family members. It continued with seniors receiving a wide variety of scholarships and recognition from organizations such as the Glen Cove Senior Center, the Nassau County Comptroller’s office and the Glen Cove Teachers Association, among many others. In all, more than 100 students received more than $95,000 in scholarships. In addition to the many honors presented, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Maria Rianna recognized valedictorian Julie Micko, salutatorian Geovani Antonio Flores and honorarian Laura Roesch.

Principal Santana congratulated all of the students and their families on their achievements.
