At Glen Cove Signing Events, Buy Book, Get Free Cocktail: Report

GLEN COVE, NY — A Glen Cove native will hold a pair of book signings next week in his hometown to promote his newest weight-loss book, according to a report. And he'll buy a cocktail for every attendee who buys the book.

Author Fred Bollaci will promote his second book, "The Restaurant Diet, A Spiritual Journey of Self Discovery" at La Bussola Restaurant on Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., followed by La Ginestra Restaurant on Tuesday at the same times, the Record Pilot reported.

In the book, Bollaci talks about growing up in an Italian-American family and how his parents' divorce led to a compulsive overeating problem. Later in life, he developed a 150-pound weight-loss plan that he has maintained for years. In the second edition, of the book, published in October, Bollaci, talks about important questions patrons should ask restaurant staffers.
