Glen Cove Students Celebrate Kindness Throughout the Month of February
At the end of February, the students will earn a certificate stating that they have been a "kind kid" for the month.

Students in Meghan Murray and Janet Durso’s class at Deasy School have committed to performing acts of kindness throughout the entire month of February.
The class began by making Valentine’s Day cards for veterans. The students have also been working hard to help others in their classroom and use kind words throughout the day to encourage their friends, as well as say hello to adults and peers when walking in the hallway, among many other things.
The children took time to make cards for their classmates, each with a special compliment inside, and also created valentines for their parents. At the end of February, the students will earn a certificate stating that they have been a “kind kid” for the month and should be recognized. The students have been motivated by this concept and their teachers hope that the acts of kindness carry over into the children’s home lives and situations outside of school.
