Glen Cove Students Compete at New York DECA Conference

The students participated in business, marketing and entrepreneurship competitions at the conference last month.

Glen Cove High School DECA members had an impressive showing at the annual New York DECA State Career Conference and Competition in Rochester last month.

Students participated along with nearly 2,200 students in various competitions in business, marketing and entrepreneurship at the conference, held from March 8-11. Chapter adviser Judi Checola accompanied the following students on the trip:

Glen Cove DECA received the Fundraising Award for raising more than $500 for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, this year's New York DECA state charity. Additional honors were given to Geovani Flores, a medal winner in the category of Automotive Services Marketing; Amanda Ieraci, medal winner in Visual Advertising; Amara Phillip, double medal winner in Personal Financial Literacy, and Laura Roesch, medal winner in Personal Financial Literacy.
