Glen Cove Under Winter Storm Watch
National Weather Service issued the watch Tuesday morning.
A winter storm watch has been issued for northern Nassau County.
The watch goes into effect at 7 a.m. Wednesday and ends at 7 a.m. Thursday. The National Weather Service is forecasting 4 to 8 inches of snow in the area.
A mixture of rain and snow Wednesday morning should change to all snow by late afternoon, the NWS said.

As it stands, northern Nassau is predicted to be the hardest hit part of the island. On the East End, the forecast currently calls for less than an inch of snowfall.
