Woman Suffocated Her Newborn Daughter Inside Nassau Home: Police
The 20-year-old is charged with murder.

GLEN HEAD, NY - A 20-year-old Glen Head woman is charged with murder in the death of her newborn daughter, Nassau Police said.
Sharon Seudat is accused of suffocating the child on Thursday and then placing the baby inside a plastic bag that Seudat then put outside.
According to police, Third Precinct patrol officers along with the Glen Head Fire Department responded to 4 Walnut Street on a report of a woman bleeding severely around 8:20 a.m. Thursday.

Seudat was transported to an area hospital, where it was determined that she had recently given birth, police said.
Officers responded back to the home for a well check and located an unresponsive newborn baby girl outside the house, police said.

The newborn was pronounced dead at a hospital and an autopsy revealed that she had been was suffocated after being born in the home, police said.
An investigation led to the arrest of Seudat, who lives at 4 Walnut Place, police said.
Seudat is charged with second degree murder and will be arraigned on Saturday at First District Court in Hempstead.
