Mental Health Counselor Zelda Schemaille hosts supportive groups in Sea Cliff.

Your teens are holding a car wash at the high school Saturday. The grandparents volunteered to take the younger children to a movie Sunday afternoon. Your tweens take tap on Wednesday evening. It’s your time. Take it.
Each week, we’ll tell you about one great idea to give you a much deserved break, and make your life a little easier, maybe a whole lot easier
If you have ever considered joining a women’s or men’s group, now might be the time.

The women’s group is “an ongoing highly interactive, supportive group of women which addresses a variety of issues including relationships, health, anxieties etc.,” according to Schemaile's website. Her men’s group “is a dynamic group of men who interact in a setting which encourages authenticity and opportunities to communicate in new ways.”
Schemaille says her approach is experimental, focusing on relationships within the group as well as outside. The issues of interest vary according to the needs of the group.
Schemaille women’s group meets every other Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. and costs $50-$60 per session. The men’s group meets every fourth Wednesday from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and costs $60-$70 per session.
