Great Escape: Sidewalk Sale

Are you tired of big impersonal department store shopping and you’re looking for a smaller, quainter more intimate setting? If so, check out the summer sidewalk sale at Great Neck Plaza.

With over 250 fine shops and restaurants, Great Neck Plaza has become known as Long Island’s premier downtown shopping district and features some of the most unique boutiques in the region.

During their sidewalk sale, which commences at the Great Neck Business Improvement District between Bond Street and Grace Avenue, shoppers can enjoy a stroll as they shop along with outdoor dining along restaurant row accompanied by live music.

Shops include everything from art galleries, men, women and children's clothing; specialty candy and food shops, electronic stores, hair and nail salons and spas, gyms, shoe boutiques, toy stores, and yoga studios to name a few. A wide variety of culinary cuisines are also available with choices suitable for any pallet – from American and Asian – to French, Greek, Italian, Kosher, Mediterranean, Mexican, and seafood. 

For visitors convenience there are over 1000 two and four hour metered street parking and free municipal garage parking after 3 p.m on weekdays and all day Saturdays and Sundays.

The sidewalk sale takes place on Thursday June 23 from 10 a.m to 8 p.m, Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25 from 10 a.m to 6 p.m and Sunday June 26 from 12 p.m to 5 p.m.
