Longtime Criminal Burglarized Glen Cove Restaurant: Police
The man was identified through video footage and DNA evidence left at the scene, police say.

Video footage and DNA evidence helped identify a longtime criminal who burglarized a Glen Cove restaurant in September, Glen Cove Police announced Monday.
According to authorities, Pierre Adams, 50, of Glen Cove, entered Sid's Restaurant, located at 80 Glen Cove Ave., through a broken rear window and stole the register containing cash during overnight hours on September 19.
Glen Cove Detective David Milanese, during the investigation, recovered the cash register nearby, video footage and DNA evidence from the scene.

Police said they were subsequently able to identify the burglar as Adams.
Adams, who has numerous prior arrests dating back to 1991, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary.

He was arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Friday and is being held in East Meadow Jail.
