Marc T. Hudak Joins Whitmore Group

Sea Cliff resident provides wide range of insurance expertise and experience.

Marc T. Hudak of Sea Cliff has joined The Whitmore Group, Ltd., as a partner and member of the firm’s management committee. The Whitmore Group is a leading insurance services and estate planning company for the New York metropolitan area that is headquartered in Garden City.

Hudak brings 20 years of high level industry experience to The Whitmore Group, focusing his practice on companies with annual revenues of $5 million to $50 million and their owner executives. Working collaboratively with his clients, he helps them meet their strategic and financial objectives through the placement of properly designed commercial insurance, group benefits and personal insurance programs.

Founded during 1989, The Whitmore Group has steadily built its business beyond insurance brokering to include benefits consulting, financial and estate planning, management and sales consulting, business development, operations review, senior management and board consulting, and commercial private lending services.

Prior to joining The Whitmore Group, Hudak served as president and CEO of Consuasor, Inc., an insurance brokerage he founded during 2007 with offices in Manhattan and the East Moriches, Long Island. During 2013, the firm was acquired by San Francisco-based Heffernan Insurance Brokers and Hudak served as its regional senior vice president.

Hudak earned his BS in Education from Ithaca College during 1990, where he was a two-time All-America selection in football, captain of the 1988 National Championship Team and is a member of the Ithaca College Athletic Hall of Fame. He earned his MS in Educational Administration at Syracuse University during 1993, where he also served as graduate assistant offensive line coach from 1990 to 1993. Following graduation from Syracuse, he pursued his PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also served as graduate assistant offensive line coach from 1994 to 1995 before entering the insurance industry.

Marc Hudak also shares The Whitmore Group’s philanthropic commitment. He serves as president of the Ithaca College Alumni Association Board of Directors, is a member of the Ithaca College Athletics Advisory Board, chairman of the New York Chapter of the National Football Foundation and president of the Football Intra Club at the New York Athletic Club. He also serves as chairman of the Annual Fund at Friends Academy in Locust Valley, Long Island, where his two children (seven-year-old Gabriella and five-year-old Matthew) attend school. He also raises funds for Nazareth Housing, a housing and emergency shelter and homelessness prevention organization serving low-income families on the lower east side of Manhattan.
