Friday, Dec. 4

  • Blessing of the Crèche at Glen Cove Village Square at 7 p.m.

Saturday, Dec. 5

  • St. Paul’s Episcopal Church’s Holiday Boutique, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at 28 Highland Road.
  • Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce’s Winter Wonderland at the Glen Cove Mansion
    • Breakfast with Santa from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., holiday shopping with over 90 area vendors, professional ice carving, horse and carriage rides, a performance by the GCHS Select Chorale, gift wrapping services, hot cocoa & fresh roasted chestnuts and arts & crafts.     • Glen Cove residents can donate new unwrapped toys to be donated to the less fortunate.

Sunday, Dec. 6

  • U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys 4 Tots collection rally sponsored by Martino Auto Concepts & Exotics4Life. From 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at 1 School Street, Glen Cove residents can donate new unwrapped toys to be donated to the less fortunate.
  • The annual Grand Chanukah Menorah Lighting at the Glen Cove Village Square - School & Glen St. will be lighted this year on Sunday, Dec. 6th at 4:30 pm. The message of light over darkness and good over evil has never resonated more since the recent horrific terror attacks. There will be lively music, traditional ‘sufganiyot’, doughnuts, prizes for the kids along with Chanukah Gelt & dreidels. The “dreidel inflatable” will give the kids a chance to bounce around in a full size dreidel moon bounce. The children will have an opportunity to make a Chanukah craft. Monday, Dec. 7

    • Chanukah celebration Lunch, 12 noon, Glen Cove Senior Center, 130 Glen St.12 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Glen Cove Mansion, 200 Dosoris Lane

Now until Jan. 6

  • Glen Cove’s First Annual Merry Tree Festival – take a walking tour of downtown Glen Cove and see over 40 “living” holiday trees that have been custom decorated by area businesses. Open daily and after Jan. 6 all trees will be planted in City parks/properties and five trees will be designated to start Glen Cove’s first Christmas Tree Farm.
  • Weekend activities in Dec. will feature musical entertainment, holiday shopping and delicious dining options in Downtown Glen Cove, Glen, School and Bridge Streets.
