Newly Elected Members Sworn In at Glen Cove BOE's Annual Meeting

Here's what happened at the Re-Organization meeting on Monday.

Newly elected members were sworn in during Glen Cove Board of Education’s annual Re-Organization meeting on Monday.

Board Trustee Maria Venuto was sworn into service by the district’s attorney Larry Tenenbaum of Jaspan Schlesinger LLP.

  • Richard Macccarone— elected President for the 2015-2016 school year
  • Maureen Pappachristou— elected Vice President for the 2015-2016 school year
  • Ida Johnson— District Clerk
  • Judy Smith— Deputy Clerk
  • Lori Carrick— District Treasurer
  • Jackie Lizza— Deputy Treasurer

It was also announced that the district had appointed Pat Kuntzler as its Interim Special Education Director. Kuntzler has an extensive background in special education, including serving as the executive director for the Henry Viscardi School at the Viscardi Center.
