Part-Time Employment Opportunity - Recreation Coordinator

Job Description

Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, the Recreation Coordinator will facilitate and implement social recreation activities and programs that are age appropriate, gender specific and develop character in a safe environment. The Coordinator is responsible for implementing High Yield Activities, and not limited to Leadership, Outdoor/Environmental Awareness programs and activities.

Hours: Year Round Position

Monday-Friday, 3:00-6:30pm

Summer Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:30am-3:00pm

Pay Rate: $11.00-$13.00/hour (commensurate with experience)

Requirements:

• Some College or degree in related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.

• Experience working with children, in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization

• Ability to organize and supervise members in a safe environment.

• Established strong communication skills, both verbal and written

• Must be creative and resourceful• Must be versatile

Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.• Demonstrate ability in working with young people and parents.
