• Glen Cove house fire displaces three, dogs treated for smoke inhalation (longislandpress.com) — A Glen Cove house fire on Stuart Drive East has left three residents displaced and their home uninhabitable, though no people were injured. Nearly 60 firefighters from Glen Cove and neighboring departments knocked down the garage fire in about 40 minutes, and two dogs were treated for smoke inhalation while county fire marshals and police continue investigating the cause.

• Friends Student Raises $20K for Glen Cove B&G Tennis Clinic (thenorthshoreleader.com) — A new four-week youth tennis clinic is giving Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club members ages 8 to 12 free coaching, equipment, and transportation, thanks to a Friends Academy junior who raised over $20,000. The program aims to build kids' confidence and friendships while introducing them to tennis through a partnership with the Robbie Wagner Tournament Training Center.
